Be Active: Tracking your Activity

Be Active: Tracking your Activity

Research shows that keeping track of your activity helps people to be more active. Tracking your activity can:

  • help you plan ahead and do exercises that will help you to accomplish your goal
  • give you a sense of accomplishment
  • allow you to see if you are meeting your goal
  • let you see what you have or have not done for the week
  • keep you motivated to be active

Try tracking your activity on a calendar or spreadsheet. Record the day, what you did, and how long you did it for. It may also be helpful to write down how hard it felt for you. At the end of the week, look back and see what you accomplished that week and make a plan for the next week!
