Swim Team Infomation
Fund Raising
The fee to participate on the Sharks Swim Team covers the cost of the coaches. Fund raising by families is important to cover the expenses of the Sharks, such as meet entry fees, ribbons/awards, ½ cost of the swim team suit, supporting low-income participation scholarships and other equipment needed to operate the Sharks Swim Team. Each family is asked to participate in the Fund Raising efforts to allow the cost of the program to be affordable.
Raffle Tickets
Each Family is asked to sell 5 books (6 tickets in a book) of raffle tickets. A book of tickets cost $5 or a single ticket costs $1.
Volunteering
An integral part of the Sharks Swim Team is family participation. This season there are 4 home meets. At each home meet, approximately 40 volunteers are needed.
Home Meet Concessions
Each family is asked to sign up to bring two items for the concessions, items listed will be found on the bulletin board or through Sign-Up Genius. Last names beginning with A-F bring two items for June 17th home meet. G-M bring two items for June 25th home meet. N-S brings two items for July 1st home meet. T-Z brings two items for the July 16th home meet. Items need to arrive at Symons Prior to 4:30pm the day of the meet.
Meet Sign Ups
This year you will be able to sign up for meets using the online sign up program called SignUpGenius. If we have your email, you will be receiving an email invite from SignUpGenius. Each meet will have a sign up deadline. If you sign up after that date or just show up to a meet, your child(ren) will be able to participate in individual events however they will not be guaranteed a relay event.
Ordering Swim Team Suits (Optional)
Swim team member may purchase one Speedo (matching) swim team suit for a fee of $23.21, which is paid when placing the order. The suit is a solid black suit. Purchasing a team suit is not required. Sample Suits are available to try on. Please pay & place your order by June 7th at 8:00pm.
