Bird Walk on the Pine River Trail

Are you interested in learning about birds along the Pine River Trail? Join local experts, bring a good pair of walking shoes, water, and your binoculars. Binoculars will also be available to borrow for the walk.

Starting in Twin Bluffs on the Pine River Trail, the group will walk one mile and then turn around and come back. All ages welcome. Can’t walk the whole 2 miles? That is fine, you can turn back when you want. The walk will be about 90 minutes, or you can turn back early if you are unable to stay for 90 minutes.

The Pine River Trail is an easygraded rail trail available to hikers and cyclers from spring to autumn, and snowmobilers in the winter. The 14.3 mile trail from Richland Center to Lone Rock has parking and trail entrances at Gotham and Twin Bluffs.

I hereby fully and completely release Richland County, the City of Richland Center, Symons Recreation Complex Foundation, and its officers, officials, agents, employees, representatives and insurers from any and all liability of any nature whatsoever for personal injury, illness or property damage that may be in any way related to my participation in the Symons Recreation Complex’s Bird Walk event to be held on May 21, 2022, including negligence by any of the above-named parties. I understand that: (a) participation in this event is strenuous, and I verify that I am physically fit to compete in this event; (b) the trail could have compacted snow or ice on it and therefore be slippery and that there will be no sanding or de-icing on the trail; (c) I must enter the Pine River Recreation Trail at entry point and stay on the trail.
